Cupertino, California, USA

The next-gen Apple Pencil could finally let you swap the nibs easily

Apple has also introduced USB-C charging tech on iPhones, iPads and MacBooks, now it is time to see more accessories get the support.

Apple has launched the new iPhone 15 series with USB-C port, which now joins other products like the iPad Air and the MacBooks in the market. Even the AirPods Pro have been refreshed with the new charging standard and next in line could be the Apple Pencil. The 3rd gen Apple Pencil is expected to come with new features and USB-C charging along with the magnetic wireless charging you get on the gadget when it is attached to the iPad.

And bringing support for USB-C charging on the Pencil will make it useful for people as they don’t need to hunt for another charger if needed. In addition to this, reports hint that Apple could finally offer a different set of tips that can be attached to the Apple Pencil for different use cases.

The Pencil is essentially used by creative people so bringing tips for drawing on the iPad or even painting would make a lot of sense and encourage more people to consider buying the original Apple Pencil. So far the tips on the Apple Pencil are screwed in but the upcoming version could have a new magnetic end which will make it easy to replace the tips.

There are question marks about how the additional tips will be stored, and ideally for a device costing Rs 10,000 the company should at least give a case to keep the tips safely. The tipster for the rumoured Apple Pencil is not certain about its launch timeline but going by the reports of the new iPad Pros launching early next year, Apple could pencil in this device also for the same launch event.

The new changes should also help increase the price of yet another Apple product and appeal to more people to invest in the Apple stylus for the Pads.
