Bangladesh captain Litton Das had a word with the umpire as Ish Sodhi was called back to bat in the middle.
The second ODI match between Bangladesh and New Zealand witnessed Hasan Mahmud attempting a non-striker run-out to get the better of Ish Sodhi but was not backed by his captain Litton Das as his actions went in vain. The incident happened in the 46th over of the innings when Hasan executed the non-striker end run-out to dismiss Sodhi who was well out of the crease. On-field umpire Marais Erasmus consulted with the third umpire before declaring it out.
The New Zealand tailender was not impressed with Hasan’s actions as he mocked him by applauding him. However, Litton Das had a word with the umpire as Sodhi was called back to bat in the middle.

Sodhi returned and hugged Hasan. He was batting on 17 off 26 balls when the Mahmud attempted the run-out. He took full advantage after the Bangladesh skipper called him and remained unbeaten on 35 off 39 balls which included three sixes.
Ish Sodhi was run out at the non strikers end by Hasan Mahmud.The third umpire checked and gave OUT! But when Sodhi started walking out, skipper Litton Das and Hasan Mahmud called him back again.
Sodhi gave Hasan a hug at the end.

Meanwhile, Tom Blundell top-scored with 68 to guide New Zealand to 254 runs in the second one-day international against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Saturday.
Blundell, who smashed six fours and a six in his second ODI half-century, helped New Zealand recover from 36-3 after stand-in captain Lockie Ferguson won the toss and opted to bat.
Henry Nicholls chipped in with 49 runs as the pair added 95 runs for the fourth wicket to steady the New Zealand innings.
Off-spinner Mahedi and pacer Khaled claimed 3-45 and 3-60 for Bangladesh, respectively.
Sodhi spun his web with the ball and claimed a six-wicket haul to help New Zealand outclass Bangladesh as they registered a crucial 86-run victory. He dismantled Bangladesh’s batting line-up with his astonishing figures of 6/39.
