A content creator showcased a heartwarming gesture towards women during their periods. While some viewers praised the gesture, others contended that menstruation should be recognized as a normal aspect of life.

In the realm of social media, individuals wield the power to share their experiences, insights, and opinions with a global audience. However, this freedom often leads to polarizing discussions when sensitive topics are brought to the forefront. Recently, a video gained attention for its exploration of various women’s health issues, including the topic of period pain. This clip has sparked conversations within the online community, drawing divided opinions on the matter.

Shared by content creator Siddhesh Lokare on his Instagram handle, the video commenced with the presentation of “an empty chair reserved for those experiencing menstruation,” as indicated by the accompanying text. As the video progressed, women going through their menstrual cycles took their seats, one by one. What surprised the individuals experiencing the scene was the unexpected performance by the man and his friend, who sang the romantic Bollywood song Pani da Rang, originally by actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana. Accompanied by their soothing voices, this group of friends extended a heartwarming gesture by showering the women with rose petals, flowers, and sweets.

Take a look at the video here:

Accompanying the video, Siddhesh Lokare penned a lengthy note addressing the “menstruators” in the caption. “Dear menstruator, in the natural course of life, there exists a profound cycle that only menstruators can truly comprehend. It’s a monthly journey through discomfort and pain, yet you continue to stride forward with resilience and a smile on your face. Your ability to embrace each day, despite the challenges, is a testament to your remarkable strength,” he wrote.

He further added, “As Helen Keller said, ‘Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.’ You embody this spirit of overcoming. Your strength during these times not only reflects your fortitude but also serves as a reminder to us all that even in the face of adversity, we can rise above, with grace and a smile, as you do (with a red heart emoticon).”

As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, social media users flooded the comment section with their contrasting thoughts. While many viewers found this gesture heartwarming, others stated that the health issue is normal. Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Literally you’re the man written by women but in real life.” Another commented, “I was so overwhelmed and touched I still have those roses pressed between my journal, thank you so much for this moment.”

“I am also a woman, and I really appreciate this. But I don’t know why I feel like this is useless. Like we go through this stuff every month and if you really want to raise awareness, educate people. And if you want to bring a smile to someone’s face, there’s no scarcity of people who are sad or something. Girls I am on your team only please don’t hate me for being honest,” an Instagram user wrote.

The video was shared a week ago on Instagram. Ever since it was uploaded, the video garnered an impressive eight million plus views and over six lakh likes.
