Mahira Khan’s wedding photos are going viral. The Pakistani actress married her boyfriend Salim Karim over the weekend.
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan’s wedding photos were released on Tuesday night and it seems like it was a dreamy wedding. The actress, best known for the Pakistani show Humsafar and Raees to many, got married to her boyfriend Salim Karim in an intimate wedding. While the actress shared photos and a wedding video to reveal that she wore an ivory lehenga for the wedding, a new photo revealed that she got extremely emotional at the ceremony. It has also been revealed that it was her son Azlan who walked her down the aisle at her second wedding.
In a photo shared by Pakistani celebrity artist Adnan Ansari, Mahira was seen breaking down while hugging him at the wedding. Sharing the photo, Adnan wrote, “With the moon in the sky we bid farewell to our moon.Always be happy and prosper. Amen #mahirakhan.”
While the photo has left fans emotional, many couldn’t hold back their tears upon seeing her son Azlan walking his mother down the aisle at her second wedding. Mahira welcomed Azlan in 2009 with her first husband Ali Askari. Fans have often seen pictures of him as a little boy and were spellbound seeing him not only as a young adult but also being supportive to his mother at her wedding.
Many fans took to X (previously known as Twitter) to react to Mahira and Azlan. “Mahira’s son walking her down the aisle and sitting with her during the nikkah is just so beautiful. im not crying. im not crying. ,” a fan wrote. “So #MahiraKhan’s son walked her down the aisle and sitting with her during the nikkah. Mahira had been dating Salim for a while now but kept her relationship away from the spotlight. Mahira first opened up about Salim in a conversation in 2020. During Rewind with Samina Peerzada, Mahira confessed she was dating Salim. She shared more details about him during an Instagram Live with fashion mogul Hassan Sheheryar Yasin.
As reported by Pakistani outlet Dawn, Mahira said, “There’s a line in Humsafar which I thought was beautiful, where Ashar says to Khirad, ‘Pata nahi tum mujhay kis naiki ke badlay mein mili ho’ (I don’t know which good deed of mine led to you) and I think the same about him. I must have done something good in my life that God has sent him my way.”
