The third ODI between England and Ireland is slated to be hosted at the Gloucestershire Cricket Stadium in Bristol on September 26. The English batting unit appeared in swashbuckling form during the second game, except for captain Zak Crawley who returned for a duck. Opener Will Jacks wrapped up the match as the highest run scorer. The right-handed batter smashed 94 runs off 88 balls, a knock that comprised seven boundaries and four maximums.
Ben Duckett and Sam Hain also shone with the bat for England. Ducket missed the half-century only for two runs, while Hain played a commendable 89-run knock, which was laced with as many as eight boundaries. Thanks to their contribution, England posted a mammoth 334 runs on the board in 50 overs. Ireland failed to make a desirable start to the chase, with both openers returning early to the pavilion. Harry Tector, George Dockrell and Barry McCarthy made some notable contributions to the scoresheet. But their efforts were not enough to win the match.
